Biography

My name is Greg Sotak. I took my first picture somewhere around 1969. From that day on, I knew that I could never put a camera away. I then had formal training as an Intelligence Photographer for the U.S. Military in 1972. It was not long until I figured that I could make more money shooting part time in the evenings and weekends. I shot fashion models and runway events as well as weddings in the evenings and weekends and continued my military career by day. As I traveled around the country I had the opportunity to work with a lot of distinguished photographers and photo editors. From each new city and experience I was able to enhance my ability and my eye. I ended my career in 1996 with the Military. Having shot in LA, San Fran, Chicago, Boston, Baltimore and NYC.....I decided to start my own business. I bring an educated eye to each photo shoot. Still a student in my medium I am constantly seeking to excel. With the skills that I acquired in Photoshop, I look to enhance each photo. My friends call me Houdini. The one thing you can count on is that on ever job, your satisfaction is my first priority. The funny thing is...after all these years, I still get excited at the ability to capture a memory. 

My partner is Jennifer Persons. She has been with the company for the last 7 years. I have trained her in all facets of photography. She is also skilled in Photoshop. Over the years she has developed her own signature eye. If she is shooting a wedding or a fashion event, you can count on her to capture an exceptional view. She is such a wonderful compliment to our dedicated team. Jennifer is currently completing her degree at Baldwin Wallace college. She consistently brings her wonderful creativity to every shoot.

Our missions statement is our creed. If there is something extra that we can do and it is within reason...we will do it. When we say we have the best...we mean it. We use the best camera's that Cannon makes. Combine that with their best professional lens and talented photographers, your event pictures will be a constant reminder of your special occasion. When you compare photographers, ask if they have medium and high format cameras. See if they bring backups to each job. Know what services they provide and see if they put it in writing. Here at Digital Image we commit all of our attention to your special day. We attend the rehearsal to help with the understanding of our commitments. We will go over how we will shoot the event and even go over ever thing as a wedding planner would. We also meet with the person conducting the service to insure we follow the requirements of the service. We have a great reverence for this occasion and don't want to take anything away from you or your guests. Sometimes there is a bump in the road and something happens to take away from your event. We offer day after service at no charge. On the following day...you still have your dress and your husband still has his Tux... We spend and hour with you doing cameos of the two of you.
